Newly decorated and relaxing hotel, had really nice stay.
We had a beautifully maintained room with a fairly clean bathroom.

What a very good stay, no complaint. Family-friendly hotel with modern design. Massive breakfast with so many choise and a nice view, as for instance and the best location. Free parking outside the venue provided. Poolside bar and clean pool;))

That was well-maintained and modern hotel set in very quite area, really close to Teluk Cempedak, a famous tourist spot in Kuantan, and the restaurants next door. The rooms were nicely refurbished, beautifully designed and for deluxe king bed. The service was excellent, I was offered a savoury breakfast with options for everyone, so many choise and the Kampung coffee house. The pool was great and I had complimentary drinks in the poolside bar.

Friendly staff, traditional (80ies) beach hotel, nice pools and beach, good food, quiet.
Building and rooms need investment, rooms not as clean as 5* would suggest (room price reflects real standard - only room not service/staff), local touristic infrastructure improveable

The location is beautiful and there are lots of opportunities to eat outside the hotel - either a short walk or taxi/drive into the town centre. The breakfast buffet is very good value with lots of choice and well cooked food.
When the hotel was busy over the weekend the service was not so good eg late clean of the room (after 4pm) and then they forgot towels and water, but on the Monday when the hotel was quieter the service was excellent.

The ambience and the beach.
During school holidays, we have to wait until 4pm to check in. They dont have enough staff to make up the room after the previous guest check out.

Absolutely loved the two large swimming pools and the gorgeous sea view 🏖️ The beach was so close and clean. Just wish the housekeeping was a bit faster on room service.

The beach is nice, but it seems that it's not very private since the public can just wander into the hotel beach front too. So it was very crowded .
We had two adjoining rooms (one for our kids) both bathrooms were really really old, water was leaking from the basin trap onto the floor thus it was pretty messy. The other thing is, every time we showered, water was leaking all over the floor too, as much as we tried to adjust the shower curtains, it was just all over the bathroom floor. The Kampung restaurant was utterly awful, (this is their coffee house) We had to wait forever for our food, and the bill. Really those cooks should be fired long ago as the food was inedible and tasteless.

1) check in time supposed at 2pm but they make me wait until 5pm, 2) there is no proper car park for d hotel guest, 3) the food very bad, 4) the staff is helpless.

great staff but room could be improved
The staff were always pleasant and accommodating. It was excellent how well the breakfast service was managed with the limited staff available.
The room could use some refreshing or updates.

The hotel has good strategic location. You could see sunrise in the morning and enjoy all sort of beach activities in the evening as the sun has set. Good for family holidaying.
Hotel staff did not offer value services as Hyatt name carried with. Very lousy experience. On 14 May I requested for 2 twin rooms, non smoking with seaview via Booked.net. Called personally on 24 May to Hyatt Kuantan' Reservation team, assured all in placed per my request except seaview, Hotel did not offer to Booked.net. In total I booked 3 twin room and Hyatt Kuantan promised to arrange two interlinking and one stand alone but closed to each other. 28 May we checked in they issued 2 king and 1 twin smoking room with different location as the hotel was fully booked and we have to extend best understanding. Duty manager Ms Dorthy attitude was lousy. No apologies to why discrepancies in reservation on top of my confirmation. She insist can't make any changes despite I travel with 4 teenage and my parent. After hours of negotiation another service crew manage to get 1 king 2 twin non smoking room for us. When checked out Hotel also wrongly bill 2 breakfast and one bar item. Apparently the hotel lack of supervising system and customer services could not justify for a 5 stars internationally recognised hotel chain.

The very civilised guests and 24hours security at the beach. Excellent checkout staff and very accommodating assistant concergie (Fauzi - 5/06/2011). Great Deli carrying excellent cakes/pastry/desserts at a steal (for that quality/portion).... Great tasting breakfast spread/foods/beverages....
Quiet a number of the staff at this hotel is not very fluent in English. Also the fact that hotel parking is open to public for a fee.. Tipping seems to be expected... As it semed that if you dont tip; it'll takes quite some time and a lot of effort to get any of their 'housekeeping/maintenance/room service' staff t attend to your request.'
